D365 F&O Technical Consultant

Job Summary:

This position will be responsible for consulting on Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations pre-implementation discovery engagements, as well as implementations, support, upgrades, and/or extensions of existing applications. This individual will work closely with key stakeholders to analyze current business processes and then define user and technical requirements that will be used to evaluate, plan, design, and build a solution.

This individual will be responsible for one or more aspects of the project including server setup, licensing, business analysis, data, customizations, and testing. Typical project responsibilities will include solution requirements gathering and documentation, LCS, and ADO setup and documentation, performing customizations to customer needs, identifying, and documenting business process improvement opportunities, and facilitating work sessions with internal client teams.

The candidate must be detail-oriented, able to multitask, be organized, and be able to prioritize multiple demands. The individual must be able to communicate through a variety of methods, and with internal and external individuals with exceptional customer service skills.

Essential Job Duties:

• Provide direction and support to the project team to completion of the engagement.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts to develop improved processes and solutions.
• Maintain notes & communication channels regarding project progress with clients & internal resources.
• Prepare deliverables and documentation, as required.
• Build trust between the internal and customer teams.
• Develop and maintain productive working relationships with teams to enhance work culture and a positive environment.
• Track time to ensure proper invoicing.
• Set up and maintain servers via Life Cycle Services (LCS).
• Perform updates per Microsoft’s recommended Life Cycle.
• Perform report and system customizations per customer needs at. the direction of the project team.
• Develop and maintain integrations and API calls.
• Assist project team and client with implementation steps such as database creations, entity setups, and data imports.

  • Have knowledge of agricultural business practices, software development, and experience in deployment and maintenance.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of projects execution plan and project procedures.

Education/Experience:

  • 4+ years of experience as a technical consultant or similar role
  • Experience conducting requirements gathering and Fit-Gap analysis.
  • Ability to translate requirements into a solution that meets the business needs.
  • Demonstrate leadership role on enterprise-level projects.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of project execution plan and project procedures.
  • Understanding of D365 Finance & Operations
  • Have knowledge of agricultural business practices, software development, and experience in deployment and maintenance.
  • Ability to work with staff in various roles within the organization.
  • Excellent communication, planning, and organization skills – both within a team and as an individual.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of clients and staff.
  • Ability to manage priorities and work independently.
  • Agricultural Industry interest
* Travel Required: Incumbent is expected to periodically meet with client teams across the United States. Incumbents will also be asked to attend industry and company events.
